Resident of Vinogradovsky District, Arkhangelsk Oblast. On 16 May 2024, he was detained in connection with a criminal case on discrediting the Russian army. The next day, the court chose a measure of restriction in the form of a ban on certain actions.
On 19 September 2024, Akimushkin was sentenced to one year and eight months in a general regime colony.
