A resident of Krasnoyarsk.

On 14 November 2023, a criminal case was opened against Denis Trufanov for knowingly disseminating false information about the Armed Forces. Allegedly, in November 2023, special police fighters broke into his flat.

The law enforcers published a video of the Krasnoyarsk man with his face blurred, apologizing , so there is no complete certainty that it was Trufanov. At that time it was a case under the 1st part of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code, but the case against Trufanov came to court with the 2nd part of the same article.

The first defense counsel (by appointment) was Elena Rybkina. She conducted the trial of the first instance and the appeal.

Before the verdict Trufanov was under recognizance not to leave. On 1 July 2024 Trufanov was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony, he was taken into custody in the courtroom.

He was placed on the preventive register as prone to extremism and terrorism.

On 29 November 2022, operational-search activities of the FSB Department of the Russian Federation were carried out. (?)
