A resident of Bashkortostan. On January 23, 2024, he was detained at his home. On January 25, he was taken into custody as part of a case of participation in mass riots, which was initiated in connection with a public gathering in Baymak on January 17 in support of activist Fail Alsynov. On February 7, 2025, Akhmetshin was sentenced to four and a half years in a general regime penal colony.
