A resident of Aleksin (Tula Region). A case was brought against him for public calls for activities against the security of the Russian Federation—to finance and co-operate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On 7 November 2024, Sapozhnikov was sentenced to four years in a general regime colony. On 25 December, another case was opened against him for calls to terrorism; details are unknown. On 30 January 2025, the appeal court increased the sentence in the first case to six and a half years.
