Ivan Kolosov

Resident of the Moscow Region, paramedic. Graduate of the Moscow Cossack Cadet Corps.

He was fined 30,000 rubles in December 2022 under the administrative article on “discrediting the army” (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for a social-media comment that read: “The ship didn’t sink; the ship was told to go fuck itself, because it was a Russian warship”.

In January 2022, he was fined 30,000 rubles for violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code), details are unknown.

On March 30, 2023 Kolosov was detained for attempted participation in an illegal armed formation, later the charge was reclassified to preparation for participation in military actions on the territory of a foreign state for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation. He was accused of preparing to join the Freedom of Russia Legion. Kolosov's acquaintance claims that he supported the legion, but did not intend to go to war.

On October 1, 2024, Kolosov was sentenced to nine years in a strict-regime penal colony. On December 19, 2024, the court of appeal reduced the sentence by two months.

In April 2025, a new criminal case was opened against Kolosov - information about the extension of his arrest due to confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state appeared on the website of the Meshchanskii District Court of Moscow. The details of this case are unknown.
