A Bashkir activist. He was detained on 13 January 2021 and taken into custody as part of a case on preparation to commit hooliganism. Later, he was sent to the penitentiary service hospital and then to a psychiatric and neurologic facility. In February 2022, Sharafutdinov returned home. The investigation into his case continued, and he was also accused of involvement in an extremist organisation. The case was sent to court, but in August 2023 the proceedings were suspended. In January 2024, the court resumed hearings, suspended them again in June, but returned to the case in July. On 19 November 2024, Sharafutdinov was sentenced to nine years in a general regime colony. On 24 April 2025, the appellate court overturned the verdict and returned the case to the prosecutor's office.
The activist's relatives believe that the prosecution is part of the pressure on the eco-activists who participated in the protests in defense of Kushtau mountain.
