Resident of Konakovo. On June 21, 2023, he was charged with organizing activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - holding meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters. On March 27, 2025, Katamov was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
