He lived in Rubizhne (Luhansk region of Ukraine), in the spring he fled from the war to the Vladimir region to his relatives, where he later received a certificate of temporary asylum. A criminal case was initiated against Neizhmakov for public justification of terrorism because of critical comments on social media about Vladimir Putin and the Russian army. He was placed in custody. On August 14, 2023, Neizhmakov was sentenced to three years in a penal colony.
