Gimadiev was detained in Kazan on October 10th, 2018. On October 12, he was taken into custody on charges of organizing activities of an extremist organization.
On May 13, 2020, he was sentenced to 16 years in a strict regime penal colony.
On March 26, 2007, he was sentenced to a year and seven months in a penal colony on charges of participation in an extremist organization.
On December 21st, 2011, he was sentenced to corrective labor through wage docking under the same article.
