Resident of the Murmansk city. In March 2024, he was taken into custody on charges of publicly justifying terrorism because of a song he published on his VKontakte social network page in October 2022. According to him, at that time he had "formed a false opinion about what was happening, about reality" as a result of his dialogue with relatives living in Ukraine, but his opinion has since changed. On 7 August 2024, Kovtonyuk was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony.
