Detained on May 16, 2019, and taken into custody by a court order on May 19 on charges of participation in activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. On December 26, a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions was chosen. On December 10, 2020, the court did not extend the ban to leave the house from 22:00 to 6:00.
On September 23, 2021, was sentenced to six years in a general regime prison, taken into custody in the courtroom.
