Coordinator of the anti-war movement "Viasna". He was detained in St. Petersburg on 7 May after searches and taken to Moscow. On 10 May, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. In May 2023, Khoroshenin's accusation was reclassified from participation in the activities of NGOs infringing on the rights of citizens (part 3 of article 239 of the Criminal Code) to creation of such an organisation (part 2 of article 239 of the Criminal Code).
On 6 June 2023, Khoroshenin was again detained in St. Petersburg after a search and taken to Moscow. Here he was charged with creation of an extremist community and dissemination of disrespectful information about the days of military glory by a group of persons. On 8 June he was taken into custody. In July it became known that Khoroshenin was threatened by other prisoners in the pre-trial detention centre. The activist also complained about health problems.
